Kyle Peffer’s approach, in his own words, is to help the body learn how to relax instead of forcing it to.
Nine years in, practising as Sleeping Willow Massage and Bodywork at The Healing House, 257 Mercer Street in the North Hills.
The modalities lean medical. Neural Reset Therapy, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, ortho-bionomy, and one he developed himself. He reports particular success with Ehlers-Danlos, migraines, arthritis symptoms and generalised chronic pain.
The populations list
His is the longest on the directory, and the full version on his profile says more than a summary here could. Cancer and oncology, cardiac recovery, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, lymphedema, palliative and hospice, substance use recovery, eating disorder recovery, infertility, diabetes, children and adolescents. Thirty-plus entries.
A list that long usually means either a scattergun or a career. Nine years and a medical focus suggests the second.
Getting in the door
The Healing House has a ramp and a handicap parking spot, which is rarer among massage studios than it should be, and lots of parking on both sides of the building. Kyle also offers mobile and in-home sessions, and accepts FSA and HSA.
Three session lengths: $100 for an hour, $135 for ninety minutes, $190 for two hours, each including every modality he offers except hot stones. Thirty-two Google reviews at 5.0.
